Every candidate writing the UFE is a highly intelligent individual and they deserve to be treated accordingly. We believe that the secret to UFE success is to develop the skills that the UFE is testing and combine that with a balanced technical knowledge study program. Skills must be demonstrated before they can be learned. For example, candidates must be shown how to do an outline and not just told to do one.
We believe that the heart of any finalist program is its marking group. All marking is to be UFE level marking. We tolerate no ego or attitude within our instructor or marking group. We coordinate our marking centers to achieve consistency as opposed to other providers who employ markers to mark a set number of papers on their own time. A sample marking day for a comprehensive case would include three to four hours of guide review and test marking to develop marking consistency and five hours of actual live marking.
We also employ as many UFE trained markers as possible to enhance marking quality. We do not believe in negative motivation from excessively hard marking or in creating false hope from marking too easy. It is impossible to achieve the goal of perfect marking but we strive towards this ideal.
We believe that the soft side skills are also important. Our courses include sessions on stress management and preparing study plans. A complete UFE program must also prepare you for when you are studying on your own. The UFE is a game. Learn the rules and keep the game in perspective.
